Baidu, the Chinese tech giant, will build an AI bot similar to ChatGPT (link)
Jennifer Jett and Larissa Gao (NBC News) report that the chatbot, known as "Wenxin Yiyan" in Chinese or "ERNIE Bot" in English, is now being tested internally and will be publicly launched in March, according to Baidu. ERNIE is an acronym that stands for "Enhanced Representation Through Knowledge Integration."
Microsoft has released updated Bing and Edge browsers that are driven by enhanced ChatGPT AI (link)
James Vincent (The Verge) reports that Microsoft is developing “a new way to browse the web” using conversational AI. Users will be able to communicate with the Bing browser in a similar manner as ChatGPT, asking queries and receiving responses in natural language. In case you did not know already: Microsoft reportedly invested $10 billion in ChatGPT’s parent company OpenAI.
