YouTube achieved its best monthly performance in Nielsen’s February 2025 Media Distributor Gauge, capturing 11.6% of total TV viewing—an increase of 2% from January.

Here are some key points:

  • This marks YouTube’s highest share to date and its second time topping the rankings since Nielsen began tracking in 2023.

  • Over the past two years, YouTube’s TV viewership has grown by 53%, with notable increases among older demographics (65+ viewership nearly doubling).

  • FOX climbed to third place for the first time, driven by Super Bowl broadcasts and cable news viewership, securing an 8.3% TV share.

  • FOX Sports 1 also saw a 45% increase due to NASCAR events. Meanwhile, Disney lost two share points after a strong January fueled by NFL and College Football Playoffs.
