Some housekeeping

A few changes coming to the newsletter

I launched The PhilaVerse in December 2021. There’s been some ups and downs but overall it’s been a pleasant experience.

In the last few months, I spent more time analyzing what worked and what didn’t.

Based on that reflection, several changes are coming soon:

1/ A new logo is up (it’s a bit less transparent than the previous one, hence it will be easier to place in different branding assets, e.g. header images).

2/ There will be more paid content. Free subscribers: do not worry. Most content will be previewable. I’ll make sure to place at least 60% of the text above the fold. I hope this strategy simplifies monetization.

3/ Content will become slightly longer in general but shall remain “bite-sized”. Expect more embeds, citations and other elements.

4/ No more weekend roundups. This format has proven to be quite popular, therefore such will be posted throughout the week instead.

5/ I will reduce syndication to other platforms such as LinkedIn and Medium. This should ease up logistics and make Substack the primary point of access for the newsletter.
