SAP to embed IBM Watson AI into its solutions
This comes two weeks after SAP announced it will integrate ChatGPT
On May 2, SAP and IBM announced a partnership in which IBM Watson will be integrated into SAP systems to enable additional AI-driven insights and automation.
Developed between 2004 and 2011, IBM Watson is a natural language question-answering computer system built under IBM's DeepQA.
Here a few key points:
The collaboration seeks to give SAP clients a better user experience, faster decision-making, and deeper insights to help them improve their business processes.
IBM Watson capabilities will be utilized to power SAP's digital assistant in SAP Start, which offers a unified entry point for cloud solutions from SAP.
The new digital assistant capabilities will be extended across SAP solutions to help answer diverse questions for managers and employees.
The new digital assistant capabilities will be extended across SAP systems to help managers and staff answer a variety of issues.
Aside from natively embedding IBM Watson AI capabilities into SAP solutions, the two companies are also working together on generative AI and large language models.
