Microsoft reports that Bing has reached 100M daily users
Those are big numbers for the search engine
On March 8, Microsoft reported that after the release of the new AI-powered Bing a month ago, the web search engine has reached 100 million daily active users (up from 6.1 million in January as per data from Similarweb... obviously those figures aren't 100% precise). It's important to note that the Big Tech company has never officially published Bing daily active user counts prior to the launch.
Roughly one third of daily users are using Bing's new chatbot backed by ChatGPT daily, with more than 45 million total chats.
The new Bing has also been used on mobile phones, leading to a six fold increase in daily active users from pre-launch levels (so claims Microsoft).
From a user acquisition point of view, I think it's safe to say the campaign has been a success. Yet the new stats are a drop in the bucket if you compare such to Google's reach (more than 1 billion daily active users).
