On May 31, US-based Kasisto announced the launch of KAI-GPT, a banking-specific large language model (LLM) designed to meet the needs of the financial services industry.

Here are a few key points:

  • KAI-GPT powers Kasisto's generative AI application called KAI Answers, which strives to provide accurate and contextual answers to customer queries in a human-like conversational experience. More specifically, it aims to help bankers find, interpret, and understand information from various sources, such as policies, regulatory filings, processes, web content, and complex financial products.

  • It was trained on a large amount of financial data and can be customized for individual financial institutions using their unique data and content.

  • Westpac, Australia's oldest bank, is in the process of implementing KAI.

  • It is already being used by 47 financial institutions.
