Funding: The average funding secured by Gen AI companies is approximately $396.01 million, with a median funding of $20.05 million. Notably, some companies have received substantial funding, with OpenAI leading with $11.3 billion in total funding.
Establishment year: Most of these Gen AI companies were established recently, with an average launch year of 2020 and a median launch year of 2021. The study was conducted in September 2023.
